Meet Pam, She is the heart and soul of her family.
A few months ago she was diagnosed with motor neuron disease. Motor neurone disease is a neurodegenerative disease that causes rapidly progressive muscle weakness. Specifically, the disease affects nerve cells (motor neurons) that control the muscles that enable you to move, speak, breathe and swallow.
Pam was told she had three months to live, I can only imagine how devastating that must have been for her whole family.
Growing up Pams grand children were always at the family farm. They did everything together and Sunday lunch happened regularly. Her grand daughter Jess spent most of her time side by side with Pam in the kitchen making cup cakes and treats for the rest of the family. It’s even more special now her own children get to experience that too.
It’s now been four months since she was told she had motor neuron disease and Pam continues to live life the only way she knows how and every moment is a blessing to Pam and her family.
Words can not describe how honoured I am to have met Pam and to have been invited into her family home.
I hope they look back at these photos and remember the good times for a long time to come.
